Student Summer Training

“Student Summer Training,” one of ITIDA’s Human Capital Development Programs (HCDP), began in 2014. It offers hands-on training on the up-to-the-minute technology trends for computer science and engineering (CSE) students. This summer practice considers increasing the students’ capacities and well prepares them to the IT market post-graduation.
Overview

Students’ Summer Internship is one of the Human Capacity Development Programs launched by the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) in 2014. The program provides free practical training on the latest technology trends for Computer Science and Engineering students. It aims to build students' capacities and prepare them to work in the IT market after graduation.

In this Summer Internship program, ITIDA collaborates with telecom and technology companies of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. It also works with the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) for its wide technical training experience and diverse partnerships with multiple global tech companies.

ITIDA offers two summer training programs:

First: The joint summer training program between ITIDA and the National Telecommunication Institute:

ITIDA-NTI Summer Training program consists of two main tracks and lasts for 120 hours according to the following:

• Technical Skills Track: training duration is 90 hours.
• Soft Skills Track: training duration is 30 hours.

This training program geographically covers all governorates of Egypt, especially governorates where the Faculties of Computer Science and Engineering are located. It depends on two learning systems: remote/online or distance learning and traditional method by attending physically at the various training sites.

ITIDA-NTI Summer Training is a good opportunity for students to get technical training that matches the requirements of the labor market as well as the international exams. Examples of training programs and exams are as follows:
