PwC signs a strategic agreement with ITIDA reinforcing the firm’s commitment to delivering value in the region through launching the Egypt Technology and Innovation Centre

PwC signed a strategic agreement with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) - the executive IT arm of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Egypt which plays a fundamental role for foreign direct investors seeking to enhance their global offering using what Egypt has to offer and the competitive advantages of the country.

This year, PwC took its first steps to invest in the growing digital transformation in Egypt and opened the Egypt Technology and Innovation Centre. This investment aligns with PwC’s vision of expanding across the region and reinforces the firm’s commitment to build and upskill a community of solvers. The centre’s technology experts will be working closely with PwC consulting teams across the Middle East, as well as the UK, Germany and the Netherlands, to innovate, build, and deploy digital solutions in enterprise applications, data and analytics, and cybersecurity and custom developments.

The agreement signing was witnessed by Prime Minister of Egypt Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and in the presence of Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Amr Talaat, at Sultan Hussein Kamel Palace in Cairo; one of Egypt's most historic gems.

Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology endorsed the agreement inked with PwC underlining Egypt’s potential as the next big hub for digital and high-end services, thanks to the constant efforts made to boost Egypt’s competitiveness in the offshoring industry.
