                      Brief:-

Egypt Makes Electronics (also known as EME), launched in 2015, is a presidential initiative positions the electronics industry as one of the key props for growth in the Egyptian economy. EME focuses on two key areas. First: superior design and production of electronic circuits and systems with high added-value and backed with high grade tech support. Second: creating labor-intensive electronics manufacturing industry.

EME is a national strategy that aims to (1) develop and promote the electronics industry, (2) make it one of the key props for the local economy growth, (3) be the main contributor to double Egyptian exports, (4) reduce imports of electronic and electrical appliances, and (5) provide numerous jobs for researchers, engineers, skilled technicians, and laborers.

The Initiative offers a range of incentives for companies concerned, including tax breaks, land discounts, and access to training and research facilities. EME is geared towards developing core areas of the electronics industry, including semiconductors, embedded systems, and electronics design. It also provides support for startups and small businesses through its incubation and acceleration programs. ​​


                      Pillars of EME:-


1 Attract investors to manufacture promising electronic products with high and fast payoffs. Products driven by the ever-growing domestic/regional demands. Initial promising products include, but are not limited to, cell phones, tablets, GPS tracking devices (geotracking units), light-emitting diode (LED) lighting, smart meters, LED TVs and displays, and solar energy systems.
