ITIDA, IDSC Sign Cooperation Protocol

27 May 2019

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and the Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) signed a cooperation protocol, on May 27, at IDSC premises.
The protocol stipulates that IDSC is to apply and update the Electronic Enterprise Management System (eEMS), and the integrated financial system developed by IDSC on ITIDA servers. This is in addition to training ITIDA’s employees on all functions of the two applications.
The eEMS is a specialized governmental system for managing institutions’ resources and capabilities on a high technical level, thus helping them in planning and making decisions.
The system seeks to provide a number of e-services for the agency staff, including negotiations, self-education and e-mailing. In addition, the system connects the offices in different areas, electronically, and combines the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS), and Human Resources (HR) concepts in one system.
The protocol reflects the IDSC role in adopting the concept of participation, cooperation and integration with different state institutions. This will help develop the institutions’ business and services, and update the service in various fields, by using IDSC mechanism and tools including information analysis and decision support, with the aim to achieve the best results in the shortest possible time, thus better serving citizens.
Moreover, the protocol stipulates that ITIDA is to support IDSC with any tech projects that the former carries out in different markets. In addition, IDSC will benefit from ITIDA activities, including training, advisory services, international accreditation, technical testing and e- signature.
The two parties agreed to cooperate on implementing specialized training programs in areas of common interest, and exchange scientific and advisory expertise. The two sides will, also, participate in various events, including conferences, workshops and initiatives, which positively affect each side’s activities.
