ITIDA's Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) in collaboration with Dell
Technologies, announced an online innovation competition for Egyptian Students & Startups to develop solutions and
applications that hack the spread of coronavirus in Egypt.
Realizing the potential in the innovators’ population in Egypt, the competition aims at accelerating students &
startups innovations and supports their proposed solutions using emerging technologies, such as AI, blockchain,
cloud computing, data science, and analysis, or what is abbreviated as ABCD Technologies.
The hackathon will enable the participants to come up with applicable solutions in Egypt that can help contain the
crisis facing the globe with a focus on Egypt. The competition features 2 tracks; Idea & Product Tracks, focusing on
2 main pillars of the issue:
1- Isolation wellbeing and stopping virus spread.
2- Citizen - healthcare services.
The winning projects and ideas will receive cash prizes of total EGP 135,000, as well as access to TIEC acceleration
programs, access to FabLab facilities, consultation services and mentoring.
Submission for the competition is open till April 21st. The winners will be announced on April 30.
