The Minister of CIT Amr Talaat has witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding
(MoU) between the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and Juniper Networks, (NYSE: JNPR) a
leader in secure, AI-driven networks, to enhance cooperation in building digital skills needed and accelerate
digital transformation.
ITIDA Acting CEO Hala El Gohary and Juniper Networks CEO Rami Rahim signed the MoU.
The MoU aims at establishing strategic partnership between the two parties in developing, tech knowledge, and
nurturing Egyptian talents and skilled personnel to be a ready workforce in the face of continuous technical
innovation.
Under the terms of the agreement, the two sides agreed that the partnership is to focus on providing a comprehensive
educational program and content, based on the company’s current best practices.
This aims to generate an academic content, designed for undergraduates and graduates of Egyptian universities and
educational institutions, to equip them with a specialized set of technical that traditional network engineers often
don’t have.
The program also aims at increasing the number of trained calibers to work in ICTs, in particular networks
solutions.
As per the MoU, the two sides shall cooperate to carry out a number of initiatives that serve and accelerate the
digital transformation in Egypt through developing e- services for citizens and improve governmental digital
services, as the need for ICT services and solutions grows in Egypt.
