In commemoration of the World’s Intellectual Property Rights Day, the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) held a seminar titled “The Second Forum to protect IT Intellectual Property Rights” on April 26, 2007 at Marriot Hotel, Grande Hyatt Hall.

The seminar discussed the implications of protecting Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) on the development of ICT companies in Egypt. It also highlighted the economic aspects of these rights on helping the IT companies with respect to building capacities, developing resources and increasing assets.

The seminar tackled the negative effect of hacked software on developing the industry, job opportunities and investments.
