The 11th Cairo ICT Trade Fair & Forum for the Arab World & North Africa was convened on February 4-7, 2007 at the Cairo International Conferences Center under the auspices of H.E. Dr. Tarek Kamel, Minister of Communication and Information Technology. This international and prestigious event was mainly sponsored and endorsed by the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).


This year, the exhibition and forum was held under the slogan “The Shape of Things to Come”.

The shopper area – “The Mall” - appeared in an astonishing outfit as 250% of space increase has been generated for the area. The Mall revealed a collection of digital solutions and products showcased by the major ICT companies in Egypt.

The event has witnessed a significant leap in the number of exhibitors and visitors. It was an opportunity for all parties interested in ICT development to gather and discuss relevant businesses.

“ITIDA” made huge efforts to assure the success of Cairo ICT amid extraordinary media coverage. The media communicated with local and regional press alongside with broadcast channels to convey the achievements of the event.

In conclusion, Cairo ICT Forum tackled the most important ICT issues that matter to the region and the Globe. In its 11th round, with an exhibitors’ growth rate of 25%, and where the participation of international corporations has extended by 11%, Cairo ICT jumped into a new phase opening up new horizons for effective presence on the international exhibitions stage. Such a step enabled Cairo ICT to spur the information and communications technology industry in the Arab region to reach for a whole new wider business landscape.
