Electronic Signatures – Towards Judicial Strategies for the applications of E- Signature 8 - 9 March, 2006 - Marriott Hotel
As part of the E-Signature awareness campaign, and in it’s effort to bring all stakeholders that will be involved with E-Signature up to date with the nature and particularities of the law, Dr. Sherif Hashem, ITIDA’s Executive VP, Dr. Sherif Hazem, and Dr. Mohamed Salah contributed to the working of the conference and presented ITIDA’s current and future roles within the E-Signature initiative.
The conference was organized in a joint effort between the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) and the Egyptian Ministry of Justice and the national Center for Judicial studies. The objectives behind the events were:
Egyptian judges understand what is an Electronic signature and the technologies related to it.
Egyptian judges learn the experiences of others countries that have implemented electronic signatures laws, including a review of the UNCITRAL Model Law on electronic signature, EU directives on electronic signature law.
Egyptian judges learn legislative ,procedural and substantive methods of combating cyber crime and cyber fraud.
Egyptian judges develop and implement judicial strategies for the application of the Egyptian electronic signature law.
