RITI Advanced Management Program

Program Background:

Based on the direction of his Excellency Dr. Tarek Kamel, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, a strategic agreement was signed on  May 6th, 2007 between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the Regional Information Technology and Software Engineering Center (RITSEC) in a bid to design and launch a capacity building program based on the latest techniques and international standards. The partnership also encompassed the launch of academic initiatives for meeting and dealing with the specific needs of all managerial levels of IT companies.

This cooperation was represented through the agreement to offer RITI Advanced Management Program (RAMP). This program aims at providing the ICT calibers with the managerial skills and knowledge required for professional careers. Accordingly, 120 participants from 64 Egyptian ICT companies have been approved to join the RAMP Program on November 13th, 2007. The 120 participants were divided among 4 intakes. This program has proved successful based on the positive feedback of the first four rounds.

Building on the success of the first rounds, ITIDA has launched 8 new rounds of the RAMP Program in December 2009. A total of 240 managers from 146 ICT companies have registered in the program; 30 trainees in each round. ITIDA subsidizes 85% of the total cost of the Program as part of its Capacity Building Programs. Trainees are selected based on certain criteria like age, experience in the field, English language proficiency and education.

A number of professors and professional trainers specialized in different management fields offer the training. The 152-hour program consists of a number of training courses designed to face the current economic challenges. The program is based on the eight areas of strategic marketing, sales management, total quality management, leadership skills, creative thinking, problem solving, international and strategic trade, strategic design, strategic behavior and financial management.

Achievement Report:

On the occasion of the completion of the first 3 intakes of the RAMP Program (December 2009 – June 2010), ITIDA in cooperation with RITI issued an achievement report highlighting the 87 candidates performance throughout these 3 intakes, presenting the feedback of the participants on the different courses and underlining the generic benefits of the Program.
