About the Program

ITIDA’s Information Technology Academic Collaboration (ITAC) Program aims to promote collaborative projects through linking academic research with industry and market needs. These collaborative research projects will bring value to ICT companies, universities, researchers, and the technology community.
In addition to the collaborative research projects, the ITAC also offers support to university students through financial support for graduation projects based on innovative and/or applied ideas as well as supporting summer training in ICT companies registered in the program database.
The ITAC Program activities and decisions are guided by a Steering Committee (SC) of experts from the industry and academia. The SC is responsible for:

  • Laying out the mechanism for linking scientific research in universities as well as students' graduation projects to the actual needs of the ICT companies.
  • Setting the rules and criteria for choosing, evaluating, and financing ITAC programs.
  • Setting the mechanism and criteria for periodic evaluation and taking correction actions.
  • Encouraging companies to host summer training for university students' in line with a defined strategy that ensures the technical viability and benefit for students.
