About GROW IT Phase 1:
As part of its commitment to the local scene, ITIDA launched its Enterprise Capacity Building Program "Grow IT" in September 2008 in cooperation with Atos Consortium (Atos Origin, Hewitt, Arthur D. Little, QAI and CID) to increase the international competitiveness of 100 Egyptian IT companies that are existing exporters, or which have export potential. Grow IT seeks to support companies to increase their local market share, enhance their export capabilities, and penetrate new markets.
The Assessment Process of each company in the program is based on 3 main aspects: Strategy, Operations & Finance. All assessment processes are driven from the SOFT model, developed by Atos Consulting for business management best practices.
The Assessment Phase is followed by the Implementation Phase during which initiatives agreed upon with enrolled companies will be implemented. ITIDA covers 90% of the cost of direct services offered to the program beneficiaries. The companies’ cost share is 10% of the direct cost, paid on installments basis. Companies reaching determined KPIs would get up to 5% reimbursement of the paid cost share.
Grow IT Achievements:
As an achievement to the Grow IT program, Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) celebrated the graduation of 38 companies and the program completion at an event named “Grow IT Companies Completion Ceremony” on November 20th, 2012 at ITIDA premises under the auspices of Eng. Yasser El Kady, ITIDA CEO.
Up to 75 highly qualified consultants were involved, out of which 45 internationals and 30 locals, were engaged and mobilized on the ground working with these companies backed up with ITIDA team and the project management unit. Such a diversified environment aimed to ensure that the desired services are provided and that the beneficiary companies can get the maximum benefit of the program.
More than 130 best practices were implemented successfully. For each Best Practice, the implementation methodology passed through different stages, adapted to each one of the disciplines involved in the best practice.
