Executive Bylaws issued to organize Electronic signature and to establish ITIDA.
CEO of ITIDA and his Deputy visited Reg TP in Germany, which sets the standards for Electronic Signature organization and signed a cooperation agreement protocol between ITIDA and the German Ministry of Economy & Labour. A visit from the Reg TP to ITIDA followed.
A work group from ITIDA attended a training program in Ireland within the framework of the Cooperation agreement between ITIDA & Certification Europe, specialized in consultancy to electronic verification authorities.

Workshop titled “Electronic Commerce and Internet Protocols” held from 25/09/2005 to 26/09/2005 in cooperation with Information Technology Authority and the International Union of Communications and was attended by Arab experts.
Patronage and sponsorship of Egyptian Call Centers through the participation in the conference “Management of Customer Support Across Borders” in Prague. Also patronage of the reception help in honour of the companies participating in the conference from 1/11/2005 to 3/11/2005 in preparation for ITIDA to participate at Expolink which will be held in Cairo from 5/06/2006 to 7/06/2006 after competing for it with India and South Africa.
Preparation of Contracts whereby ITIDA hosts non-governmental organisations and local organisations and associations at the Smart Village, bearing all costs for the first year, as per the Board’s decision no. 10 dated 24/09/2005. His Excellency the Minister of CIT invited all members of the board to attend a celebration in honour thereof on 5/12/2005 at the ministry.
Forming a committee to prepare the draft of the information security law and cyber crime prevention to be authorised by his Excellency the Minister of CIT. The committee includes members from ITIDA, Ministry of Justice, and Security Bodies as well as 6 members with legal experience.
A meeting was held “Gathering of intellectual and information technology copyright and its executive bylaws” on 9/11/2005 in cooperation with and the General Computing and Programming Branch of the Union of Chambers of Commerce in Egypt as well as the Union of Educational & Commercial Programmers and the Egyptian Center for Intellectual Ownership and attended by the Chamber of Information Technology & Programming as well as the Chamber of Communications and representatives of about 150 software companies in addition to legal experts and consultants.
Protocols of cooperation were signed with both the Union of Educational & Commercial Programmers and the Egyptian Center for Intellectual Ownership within the framework of cooperating with the civil society. The protocol aims at developing information technology industry and protecting intellectual ownership.
The meeting included the perspective of ITIDA with regard to protecting software and databases as specifications were defined, as well as perspectives and proposals by company representatives with regard to permits and systemising security. A few conclusions and recommendations were derived to aid the companies.
Reception of a Chinese Delegation on 20/11/2005 to strengthen cooperation between both countries in the field of software engineering. A protocol of cooperation was signed by both parties. During the delegation’s visit a number of meetings were held and attended by representatives of SECC (Software Engineering Competence Center) and the Chamber of Software Production. A visit to CULTNAT was arranged as well as a presentation about the Smart Village.
A Strategy for the development of Information Technology Industry was formulated as a draft and presented to the IT Sector including the Export Council, the Chamber of Software Production, the General Computing and Programming Branch. It is expected to conclude the final strategy and present it to his Excellency the Minister in January 2006.
During the International Summit of Information in Tunis, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between ITIDA and RITSEC as well as ICNM representing the World Summit Award Organisation to exchange training programs and promotional packages regarding electronic content.
The company CONCORD applied for aid in hosting the Conference of conversion languages LISA in form of financial aid to be paid directly to the hotel hosting the conference. His Excellency the Minister approved their request.
Misr Company for Information Technology headed by Dr. Venice Kamel Gouda, former Minister of Scientific Research applied for financial aid to cover the expenses of the conference “Economic Development based on Technological Awakening”. His Excellency the Minister approved their request.
The Institute of Information Technology applied for financial aid to host the conference “Effective Technology for a new Knowledge Society”. Their request was approved.
